Original Blessing Remembered Upon the Return of Artemis

Forget the story beginning with fall.
Think instead of a blazing “yes”
Before the fruit and wall
The cosmos wore a wedding dress.

The first clay creature never cursed
Rather, God breathed an equal mate
Shimmering twin of humanity’s first
Together they were to procreate.

They did not carry a bit of debt.
Nor a shadow they could not outrun;
They carried stars’ brilliance from outset
The DNA of a billion suns.

Each day a ticking clock
Testament to a cosmic hand
Slow and rhythmic dance of rock
Becoming the very heart of holy land.

We were taught to scrub away a stain
In truth, we were called as one to serve
Our call, to let stardust rise and reign
Proving we are more than sin preserved

Today’s miracle of four spoke without words on a scroll.
The message came in that single glowing spark.
Artemis reminded us that unity comes from the soul.
From “I” to “We,” the only light that conquers dark.

ָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה’, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, עוֹשֶׂה מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית
“Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech HaOlam, oseh ma’aseh v’reishit.”
“Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who continually makes the works of creation.”
