Daily Meditation for November 4, 2025
In the Gospel for today’s Mass, Jesus tells the story of the man who planned a big feast and invited many people to come. As the time of the feast grew closer, many of the people had excuses for not attending. This frustrated the host, and he reached out to others to come so the banquet hall would be full.
In the same way, Jesus invites us to come to his feast in prayer and in the Eucharist. How do we respond? What excuses do we have? Are these familiar?
- “I am too busy and cannot take the time to pray.”
- “I am too tired to get up for Mass on Sunday, and for sure not on a weekday.”
- “I don’t feel welcome at our Church, so I don’t want to be there.”
How do you respond to Jesus’ invitation to walk with him and experience his love?
