Daily Meditation for March 12, 2025

Our earth is choking to death. Pollution in multiple forms is devouring our air, our water and land, to name but a few. Signs of ill health and increasing toxic threats are everywhere. As if this isn’t enough, another kind of pollution that is perhaps a more deadly toxin is what some have called “noise pollution.” The frenetic use of technology has created a compulsive need to read every bit of news, to respond to every email, every text, every chat box, and every petition that appears on our screens. This techno-frenzy keeps us spinning on the surface of life. Noise has highjacked silence. Silence brings us to greater depths where reason and reflection open our chances to think clearly in addressing the challenges of today. Here’s a thought: clear the noise in your life today and see what you hear.
