Daily Meditation for December 26, 2023

It’s the day after Christmas, let the celebration continue! With the sights and sounds of that sacred day still resonating in our minds and hearts, may the meaning of that day bring comfort and hope into the new year. Hope is a sustaining word to carry us through this sacred Christmas season and onward. To have God take on our humanity in order to live and walk among us exceeds any human expectation. With God walking in our midst, it’s with both faith and hope that we can heed God’s encouraging words, “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). It’s in that center of stillness where we are able to meet God, the One who will navigate those searching to God’s self, who is Peace. Through that faith and hope, may this Christmas season help find that center where “let peace reign in your hearts” (Col.3:15) today and into the new year.
