Sunset Drive Garden
Would you like to grow your own favorite vegetables or flowers but don’t have a place to do so? Rent a plot from the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict’s community garden, located on the monastery property west of the big, yellow barn.
Mission
The Sunset Drive Garden is a community garden offering plots of land for individuals to rent and grow their own seasonal vegetables and flowers. It will build community by welcoming and encouraging people of different cultures, ages and economic statuses to work side by side, sharing hospitality and growing together. The garden will promote good stewardship of the earth and sustainable practices for growing food.
We Provide:
- Tilled plots
- Water
- Compost
- Hand tools for gardening
You Provide:
- Seeds or plants
- Time and energy to keep your garden growing!

Registration
Registration opens annually in March for that year’s gardening season. Returning gardeners are given first choice. If you’d like to learn more about Sunset Drive Garden or be put on our waiting list, contact us at sunsetdr@csbsju.edu.
