We will reflect together on the short mystical poem “The Ladder of Divine Graces” attributed to Theophanis, a monk of the Christian East, which offers us a path to union with God. Rooted in the Incarnation and our experiences rather than creeds, rites, ethics or abstract thought and concepts, it contains the distillation of over 1,000 years of spiritual teaching and discipline packed into 71 lines of verse.
