Daily Meditation for September 2, 2026
Emerson said, “The happiest people on earth are those who learn the lessons of worship from nature.” Spring and summer abound with the fruits of the earth. Gardeners and farmers have the wonderous experience of planting seeds, seeing the young sprouts coming through the soil, and then enjoying glorious flowers, hearty vegetables, and bounteous crops. The ground teams with life and beauty. Noticing the glory of nature around our homes or walking paths enable us to know the majesty of God. Oh, to stand in awe at the glory of creation. Isaiah 6:3, “All the earth is filled with God’s glory.” Psalm 72:19, “May the whole earth be filled with God’s glory.” Daniel 3:76, “Everything growing from the earth bless the Lord.” These glorious summer days are ending but the splendor of autumn is coming. Remember, “The happiest people on earth are those who learn the lessons of worship from nature.”
