Daily Meditation for April 30, 2026
There is a saying that goes, “The past is history, the future is mystery, and the gift is living in the now. That is why it is called the ‘present.’” Try observing your thoughts for a minute. Where are they? Are they mostly around past events, or are they about the future and dreams about what might be in store for you? Some say that living in the now, or present moment, adds happiness and tranquility to one’s life. Perhaps present moment living slows us down to take long looks at new shoots and sprouts, to hear cardinals sing and soft rains fall. Maybe we will taste food such as blueberries, chocolate mint ice cream or peanut butter cookies in a delightful new way. Try living in the present moment today, and see what happens.
