Daily Meditation for March 20, 2026

“Let us put him to the test that we may have proof of his gentleness and try his patience.” These words from today’s first reading echo St. Benedict’s reminder that “in all things, God is to be glorified.” Many wonder why life holds so many struggles and why evil often seems to prevail. Do we blame God or demand relief from suffering? Even Jesus prayed, “If it is possible, let this cup pass away.”  Instead of retreating, we are called to face challenges with courage, patience, and gentleness. Christ urges us: let your light shine; I am with you always. Seek me—I carry the burden, so your load is lighter. He knows our pain and shares in every cross we bear.  May we trust that every trial becomes an invitation to grow closer to God, allowing His strength to shine through our perseverance.
