TEDxStCloud Recording About the Rule of Benedict Scroll Available to View
Sister Michaela Hedican and Mary Bruno, local artist and owner of Bruno Press, shared a dynamic conversation about the Rule of St. Benedict during TEDxStCloud on October 9, 2025. The recording is now available to view.
The conversation explored the richness and influence of the Rule illustrated through the 36′-long letterpress-printed scroll handcrafted by Mary Bruno, commissioned by Richard Bresnahan, director of The Saint John’s Pottery and artist-in-residence at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, and inspired by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict. Sister Katherine Howard also played an integral role in bringing the Rule to life through the Scroll.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
