Daily Meditation for December 4, 2025

During the season of Advent, the words “watch” and “wait” ring throughout all of the readings at Mass. Who are we waiting for, what are we watching for? These weeks prior to Christmas give us time to watch and wait for the coming of Christ — not just on Christmas, but on each day and in each person we meet! As you approach each day of Advent, ask yourself: Where will I find Jesus today? Will it be in someone that knocks at my door? Will it be a phone call about some tragedy among family or friends? Will it be in a family member whose behavior really irks me? Wherever you find Jesus today, be grateful! Ask for the grace to accept Him as he presents himself, even if it is a challenge to accept Him as He comes! Come Lord Jesus, Come!
