National Vocation Awareness Week • November 1-7, 2026

National Vocation Awareness Week (NVAW) takes place November 1-7, 2026. NVAW is an “annual weeklong celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations” (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops). NVAW takes place every year during the first full week of November.

There are challenges and surprises to living out your vocational call, no matter what that might be. Our sisters understand that discernment is a process. To observe NVAW, our sisters will share a piece of discernment advice each day, which will be published on our social media channels. Wherever you are in your vocational journey, we encourage you to find time for quiet prayer so you can have a heart open to hearing God’s call and the courage to answer it.
