Daily Meditation for January 12, 2026

What is your image of God? The way we encounter and view God evolves over time. Perhaps we’ve thought of God as an old man sitting on a cloud. God, however, is not distant, looking down upon us as we journey through life. God, as we know, took on human flesh, becoming one of us in the birth of Jesus. God, therefore, understands our needs and hears our cries. Because he became one with us and dwelt among us, we too become one with our brothers and sisters. We are called to recognize the presence of God in each person we encounter and in all of creation. This is a lifelong journey that is comprised of many twists and turns, but the important thing is that we keep moving forward. Let us pray for the grace to recognize the image of God in each person. Let us respond in love to God in our midst.
