Daily Meditation for December 24, 2025
We hear the phrase, “Jesus is the Reason for the Season,” and it is true, though many do not experience this explicitly. In the flurry of the season, it may feel like the real reason is lost or was never there. But hidden inside and through all the tinsel, the reason pulses deeply. Perhaps because persons of different faiths have moved in, or persons of skeptical faith or no faith are busy, the reason gets lost — but not really. Somehow the music, lights, twinkle and colors shine all the more brightly at this season because of what they represent: light in and out of darkness. Gifts given to loved ones, no matter how small or large, represent Jesus who came as God’s Gift to our world. In whatever way you can, to your friend, neighbor or child, to the cat, dog or lamppost, to the man on the street or in the store, bring your smile, your heart and celebrate the season!
