Advent Video Series From Saint John’s School of Theology
In October 2023, Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary (SOT) received a Compelling Preaching Initiative Grant from the Lilly Foundation. An essential element of this grant proposal includes the development of lectio divina groups for preaching. Lectio divina is a traditional Benedictine practice that consists of the prayerful reading of Scripture.
This Advent, Sisters Laura Suhr, Bridgette Powers, Catherine Duenne and Tamra Thomas were invited by the SOT to participate in an Advent reflection series using lectio divina with the Sunday Gospel. These reflections are featured on the blog Pray Tell Blog: Worship Wit & Wisdom.
