Daily Meditation for December 8, 2025
We have to admit that some of our days are truly hard. We are forced to deal with losses, hurts, disappointments, frustrations and downright tragedies. How do you handle these experiences in a healthy, responsible manner? Well, you let yourself feel the pain, acknowledge the hurt, maybe use some strong expletives, scream or cry if need be. It helps to externalize the negative feelings. Keeping them in, suppressing them, ignoring or denying them is not healthy. It can even cause physical reactions like high blood pressure or stomach ulcers. The best help in this situation is a friend, a friend with a listening heart. Listening is what we need now, no judgments, no advice, just listening. We get the hurt out and share it. And we take turns. We listen when our friend needs a listening heart. How do we deal with hard days? A true friend is a precious blessing.
