Daily Meditation for November 18, 2025

Autumn has faded, the colors are nearly gone, and we begin to anticipate the drabness of winter. But winter is more than darkened skies, piles of dirty snow, and what we might see as just a lack of color. After all, children come in from playing in that snow with red cheeks and bright eyes! There is even more color than that. There are shades of grey, reflections of light we don’t see at other times of the year. The sky can even surprise us with cloud formations playing with the light above. All of this is just to say that what we see depends on our being open to what is before us. Every season is part of God’s wonderful creation. While each season has its good points as well as parts not so pleasant, all seasons are part of what God has given us. This year, let’s take time to open our hearts to see in a new way.
