Daily Meditation for November 10, 2025
People generally enjoy and participate readily in celebrations, lifting one out of the humdrum of every day life. When November rolls in each year, we see two major celebrations on the horizon: Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anticipation rises high as we begin long-range planning and preparation for them, thinking fondly of family and friends coming together to enjoy one another’s company. But anticipation can encompass the negative: travel conditions may be harsh, funds may be tight or health may be poor. These celebrations often call for much outlay of time and effort which we give gladly out of generosity and love. Whatever the obstacle, we continue to plan and prepare, hoping all will go well. We likely pray for positive outcome as we try to meet everyone’s needs and likes. Both Thanksgiving and Christmas have spiritual depth to them — and surely our God is with us as we celebrate.
