Diana Fenton, CSB+SJU Professor, Receives International Award for Article Celebrating Benedictine Sisters in Science
Diana Fenton, an associate professor of education at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, was recently awarded the Religion and Spirituality in Society International Award for Excellence presented by the Religion in Society Research Network for her article titled, “Dual Vocations of Science and Religion: A Historical Case Study of Benedictine Women.” This study, inspired by the Haehn Museum’s 2019 exhibit, “140 Years Uncovering and Sharing Secrets of Science,” was published in May 2023 and used data collected from the Archives of Saint Benedict’s Monastery and the College of Saint Benedict.
Diana accepted the award in Rome during the Fifteenth International Conference on Religion and Spirituality in Society. Congratulations, Diana!
