Daily Meditation for April 21, 2025
As we Catholics live into the holy Year of Hope, it is a good time to reflect on hope in the many ways we count on it in our daily lives. God gives us some “props” to assist as we live in hope. The color green is one of these “props.” Spring. Following the landscape of barren land and barren trees, one is delighted to see the first few new blades of green grass and the new emerging green leaves from the once stark tree branches.
In the spirit of hope, farmers and gardeners are planting either outdoors or indoors with starter seeds anticipating in hope for a green promise of a future harvest. Without the green there would be no hope for the future harvest. God, grant us the hope to bear a rich life for the harvest to offer to the Creator when our life’s green turns to gold in eternity.
