Daily Meditation for March 26, 2025
Once again at this time of year we are experiencing daylight saving time. Each year when we need to “spring ahead,” most of us lose an hour of sleep and some say that our internal clock is out of whack for a while. Many say they experience tiredness following the change and that it takes time for their bodies to adjust. Daylight saving time originally was a wartime measure to reduce the country’s costs during a time of scarce resources and money. The law was intended to give workers more daylight hours and to save the money spent on artificial light. Even though we gain more sunlight, over 50% of Americans would prefer to eliminate this change of time. Perhaps this is a good time to reflect on the gifts that more sunlight might bring into our lives. Can it help us to be beacons of light in the lives of others?
