Daily Meditation for October 17, 2025

“I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.” This poem, by Joyce Kilmer, speaks of what many of us experience. Trees are truly beautiful. How empty our environment would be if there were no trees. Some stand straight and tall. Others lean. Trees change as the seasons change. Many trees give wonderful shade to protect us from the rays of the summer sun. When driving or walking in the fall of the year we are often stunned as we gaze on the beauty that a tree provides. Trees also have a distinct beauty when the winter snow covers them. And they are signs of hope when new leaves are budding in the spring of the year. Do you have a favorite tree? What is it that you like about it? Today, go for a drive or walk and thank God for giving us the beauty of trees.
