Daily Meditation for January 16, 2024

God is not only near. God is here, right where each of us is at this very moment. Lest we fail to feel that divine presence, the woman Wendy might teach us. Her one great wish in life was to experience God’s personal love for her. One day as she was strolling on the beach, a strange woman walked briskly past her then made 90-degree turn and walked right up to Wendy. She embraced her warmly, kissed her on her cheek and said, “I love you,” and then continued on her way. Wendy, somewhat in shock, suddenly felt God’s personal love for her. Yes, God not only lights up the stars. God also lights up our lives by experiences which show the divine presence in the here and now of our lives. Our task is to be aware and grateful for God’s personal love for each of us.
