Facilities and Accommodations at the Spirituality Center
The Spirituality Center is available to groups and individuals for both day retreats and meetings, as well as for those requiring overnight accommodations. Our comfortable, air-conditioned facility is located on the campus of Saint Benedict's Monastery in St. Joseph, Minn. We offer an atmosphere of quiet on spacious grounds with a wooded area, perfectly suited for reflection and prayer. You may relax in our fireplace lounge or utiltize one of our private meeting rooms as working space for your group.
Meeting Space and Group Retreats
Staff are prepared to lead groups on a variety of topics or assist in hosting those who lead their own activities and contract their own presenters. Meeting space at our facility accommodates a maximum of 20 people.
Overnight Retreats and Accommodations
You may schedule your retreat or program to include one of the offerings listed here http://sbm.osb.org/ministries/spirituality_center/programs/, or simply use our facilities and create a retreat, program or meeting of your own.
We have eleven single-occupancy or nine double-occupancy rooms available for comfortable overnight stays. For more information and group rates, please call (320)-363-7112 or email email@example.com
If you are interested in a very private and reflective experience, consider staying at our hermitage. Information about those accommodations are at http://sbm.osb.org/ministries/spirituality_center/hermitage/.
Groups eat breakfast in the Spirituality Center's kitchen/dining room area. Lunch may be catered and eaten in this same area or groups may opt to eat in the Monastery Dining Room in a building within walking distance from the Spirituality Center. This option features cafeteria-style dining. Dinner is served in the Monastery Dining Room.
Worship and Spiritual Direction
The monastic community invites guests of the Spirituality Center to worship with them at the daily Liturgy of the Hours or celebration of the Eucharist. You may arrange to meet with a spiritual director on staff during your stay for an additional $50.
Available for meditation and prayer, staff can assist you in how to use this unique outdoor feature of the Spirituality Center grounds. The labyrinth is available for use during spring, summer and fall.
If you are interested in a therapeutic massage while making a retreat, we will give you the names and telephone numbers of local practitioners. If you have any special dietary needs or are unable to walk stairs, please notify us at the time of registration.
