What is the cost for each course?
Course fees range from $50 – $150.
Are books and materials included in the cost?
No. We will make every effort to keep these materials affordable.
Are grants available?
Yes. There is space on the registration form to indicate your desire for a conversation about receiving a grant.
Is there a place to stay on the monastery campus during the 2-4 day courses?
Yes, but it is limited. For information regarding housing and meals through the Spirituality Center, please call (320) 363-7112 or email email@example.com. You can also inquire about the availability of the hermitage that is on campus.
If the on-campus space is filled, what do you suggest?
Here are some local possibilities:
- Local Hotels/Motels (within 7 to 15 miles from Saint Benedict’s Monastery)
- Restaurants near St. Joseph, Minn.
- Restaurants near College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University
- Restaurants near St. Cloud, Minn.
You say in the brochure, “Discover how to integrate ‘spiritual values and practices.’” How is this done?
Periods of reflection are scheduled within each course to help you and other participants apply what you are learning to your life. A qualified facilitator will assist you with this process.
Where will classes be held?
All the classes will be held on the monastery campus in the Rosamond Building or at the Spirituality Center.
Is there elevator access to second floor Rosamond to the classroom?
Yes. The Spirituality Center classrooms are also available on ground level.
Is there parking at the monastery?
Visitor parking is available near the Chapel and in the monastery guest parking lot #30.
Will outside assignments be required?
No. However, suggested readings will be provided; they will help you explore the topics more comprehensively than is possible during the classes.
Will we receive a grade in these courses?
No. A certificate from the Sisters of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn., will be issued when the required number of courses have been completed.
Can I get EUs (Education Units) with these courses?
Efforts will be made to comply with EU requirements.
