Daily Meditation for November 29, 2023

How easy it is to assume that things will always be the way we expect them to be. When the faucet for hot water is turned on, one expects to have that produced. When one picks up the phone to make a call, one expects to hear the dial tone. When one becomes ill, there is always a doctor who can be contacted. Is the word “grateful” for the easy every day gifts in one’s vocabulary? As local and world news come to us, it seems obvious that many people do not have these luxuries. Nor do they feel the freedom of coming and going as they please. How can one spread the blessings that are received, to those less fortunate? A few minutes of quiet and reflection may bring a whisper or feeling of guidance and gratitude. Peace be yours.
