Daily Meditation for November 20, 2024

Mary’s mother, Grace, was living alone in her house since her husband had died and the children were all grown and living elsewhere. She was lonely and beginning to fall and forgetting to turn the stove off. Her children suggested she move into an apartment for seniors where she would have other people around her and activities to be involved in, and she would be safe. Mary told her she had a friend whose mother lived in one and just loves it. Her days are filled with fun activities such as card playing, listening to music, watching movies, etc. In one, they even have “Happy Hour” now and then, and there are always people to visit. “Let’s visit one and perhaps you will change your mind.” Grace decided she would try it and found she loved it too.
