Daily Meditation for November 14, 2024

Old age can have redemptive power for those who own it. From living life for many years, the elderly often see the bright side of things more easily than when they were young. Many elderly no longer feel a need to hang on to possessions and are quick to share with others. The important questions which seem to travel through their minds is not about things but rather about using the NOW in compassionate and creative ways, sharpening their listening skills, and enjoying the wisdom of the young. Many have experienced and know only too well that in all their transactions, KINDNESS is always in style and almost always welcomed. It is, as Mark Twain stated, “the language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Old age can bless the whole universe as it gains energy from the young and that sacred place called NATURE.
