Daily Meditation for November 6, 2024

In Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, a book found in the Bible, we read: “There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every purpose or event under heaven.” It goes on to describe the many events which happen to us from the time we are born until the time we die. It takes but a moment to realize how most of our life is taken up by seconds, minutes, hours and days and we may forget how much of a gift time is. We hear people say, “Time is running out.” “I’ll be there in just a few minutes.” “Where does the time go?” All of us experience time as the measure of our lives. Wouldn’t it be great if we could take a moment each day to give thanks to God for the gift of time as we plan our schedules, our days and our lives?
