Daily Mediation for October 23, 2024

The Sunday Gospels for these weeks in Ordinary Time tell of the many miracles of healing that Jesus did for the people. If we just look around us, we can see many miracles in our world: the beauty of the fall leaves, the bountiful harvest, and the wonderful produce from our gardens. Let us take time today to say “thank you” to God for the many blessings we have received. There are many ways in which we can say “thank you.” We can do this in prayer, or we could reach out to someone in need and share our produce with them. Think of someone you know who may be lonely and give them a call or stop in for a visit. You may be the miracle of healing in their life. Pray for the sick and those who have lost loved ones recently. Ask God to touch them with peace.
