Out of the Mouth…

One of our 90-year-old teachers loves to tell stories about her having taught second graders. One day she wanted to teach them about peace, so she asked the children if anyone knew what the word peace meant. The smallest child in the class raised his hand.

“Do you know what peace means, Timmy?” she asked. With that invitation, Timmy stood up, placed two little hands on his heart and chest, and answered, “It’s when everything is O.K. in here.”

A second grader! Out of the mouth of a child, amazing wisdom, isn’t it?
