Prayer Matters
Just think about it! The next presidential election is more than a year away, yet it sounds and feels sometimes, as I listen to commentators and such on television, as though it is in November!
Because I tend to try to make sense of some of the political shenanigans that’s happening in Congress these days, listening to and watching talk shows often makes my head feel overloaded and ready to explode.
Some of the situations seem more than a little crazy. For example, how can 19 people be tried all together at the same time? Is it even possible to gather a jury?
How can impeachment of President Biden make the Republican party gain public support? Are they impeaching just because President Trump was impeached?
Why did Mitt Romney choose to retire when Mitch McConnell is the one who freezes up and is unable to respond to reporters?
With such a vast array of political ploys and counter ploys between the two parties, what is being done for the people? Poverty among children has reached all-time highs and student loan forgiveness is still an issue, or what about a possible government shutdown?
Seems to me the conflicts in congress are about party disagreements and the people are getting the shaft. We need to storm heaven with our earnest prayers to change the present boondoggle. Join with me to pray for help.
Our prayers matter!
