Daily Meditation for April 4, 2023
Is there anyone among our listeners and readers who recalls Eddy Arnold’s tear-jerking lyrics: “Have I told you lately that I love you? Could I tell you once again somehow?” Those two lines carry an important message. Let’s revive them! Let’s make a difference, wherever we live, in what we hear and what we read! We need to tell others—or better—demonstrate to all those who cross our paths, who emit ugly sounds or cruel words: “Could I tell you once again somehow?” And the more we hear words of hatred, division and social media insults, the more we need to spread the message of Eddy Arnold’s lyrical tears and find ways to follow through on those questions without feeling crazy or isolated! Could we even send respectful and caring words clearly to those we disagree with, dislike, avoid, isolate, deport, want to silence, or perhaps condemn to iron bars? We could make a difference.
