Daily Meditation for March 17, 2023
Today many people across the nation will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by wearing green, pinning on shamrocks, and attending parties. St. Patrick was born in Britain but is known for bringing the Christian faith to the people of Ireland. Other missionaries made attempts to do this as well, but they were not successful. It is believed that Patrick succeeded because of his gentle spirit and his deep compassion in dealing with the Irish people. It has been said that “the list of Irish saints is long; but no other figure is so human, friendly, and lovable as St. Patrick.” His genuine care for the people helped them to accept his teaching and to embrace Christian values. Have you experienced teachers who had a similar impact on your life? What helped you to accept and embrace their teaching? What have you learned from that to bring into your own relationships?
