“Live simply so that others might simply live!” These words of Pope Paul VI set a challenge for each of us to look at our possessions, whether they be material, good health, or a good relationship with God! In this time of prosperity for many, we are called to be concerned about the welfare of others! Are they in need of food, clothing or shelter? Do they need our time for friendship, companionship and concern for their well-being? We are called to not only share our material gifts, but our time and talent as well. How will you, by word and example teach your children, your neighbors and all who know you that God is a loving and compassionate God? How can you give to your parish in service and financial assistance? Is it time for you to evaluate your sharing of gifts? Blessings on your efforts!
