Now that the signs of Christmas are gone, it is time for us to recall that the Birth of Christ goes on in our everyday lives. Each day we are surrounded with the knowledge that Jesus walks with us each step of the way. We encounter him in His word (the Scriptures), His people and in His world. In the Scriptures, we hear the word in the readings at Mass. Listen well to his message and that of the homily. We encounter Jesus in His people, family, friends, the lonely and the poor and homeless. How do we relate to these people? We are called to spread the love that Jesus has for us to every one we meet. We can also experience Jesus in the world around us—in beauty, in storms, and the events of everyday. Be alert these days and know of Jesus love for us.
