Daily Meditation for January 6, 2023

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Three Kings. Most scholars believe the Magi traveled nearly 1,000 miles following a star for four months leading them to the newborn King of the Jews. Maybe it’s a good weekend to reflect on our life’s journey. Since our birth, we have traveled to find our way in life—to find love—to find out what we love to do and what we are good at doing. We seek ways of loving. Our life’s journey has taken us to many places, to many encounters—joy-filled and pain-filled. We constantly seek to know God and to know God’s ways in human history. We have many wise people and insights who lead us to fullness in life. Let us acknowledge that we are kings and queens—ever seeking, ever looking beyond, always being led by the light of God.
