Daily Meditation for December 19, 2022
This is the season of Advent, a time of preparation for Christmas. It can become a very busy time with all the preparations that have to happen: gift purchases, family gatherings planned, and all the lights and decorations. It is easy to forget what we are really getting ready for.
During these days, take time to think about the poor and the homeless and decide what you could do to help them. Most communities have a food shelf to which you could donate. Many parishes have clothing and toy collections which you could help and support.
Above all, during these days take time for extra prayer and reflection on the true meaning of the season. How will you prepare for the coming of Jesus into your heart at Christmas and at the end of your life? Some extra time spent with family can be helpful.
