Waking up to a world dusted with pure white brings a sense of peace. Looking out the window, noticing bushes and sidewalks covered with fresh, untouched snow, presented a fairyland view. The stillness suggested that one take the time to enjoy and be grateful for this gift of nature. One marvels at the uniqueness of each of these minute pieces of frozen water, admiring how each one offers its own beauty. No two are similar. As they become a mound, their union with others form a larger and more obvious sign of connection. It is like being part of a family or community. Each person brings their uniqueness to the group. This becoming part of the whole presents the possibility of being what the family or community is meant to be: a gift to each other and to the world.
