Daily Meditation for November 17, 2022
At this time of the Church year the Scriptures remind us of the end of the world. It is a time for us to review our year and to see the opportunities that we have used to deepen our relationship with God. Recently we heard the parable of the fig tree which reminds us to look for the signs of God’s presence in our lives. The people we meet, the events of each day and the crises that we are called to face are all signs of God’s presence and care for us. Take time at the end of each day to recall and recognize God’s presence in each of the events and the people you encountered. What did these events or these people challenge you to do? How did you live out your faith this week so you are ready when the end comes – either for you or for the world. Thank God for the blessings received!
