Sisters Give History Talk at Regis High School

On October 25, Sisters Karen Streveler, Ruth Feeney, Michaela Hedican and Judy Kramer returned for the day to Eau Claire, Wis., where they lived at Saint Bede Monastery before merging with Saint Benedict’s Monastery in 2010. They were invited to Regis High School to share the rich history of the school with students, faculty, staff and alumni. It was a privilege for the sisters and attendees alike. Thank you, Regis Catholic Schools, for inviting us!

The short version of this history: In August 1953, 14 Benedictine sisters in Eau Claire transitioned a parish high school called St. Patrick’s to a citywide central high school called Regis High School, which was staffed by Benedictines until 2015.
