Daily Meditation for October 20, 2022

How many and what types of doors do you pass through in a day? Not too many of us give that much thought; yet doors play a significant role in one’s life. A door you may think of first is the entry to your home, signaling the stability of your daily family life. Within that door lies the other doors that lay out the patterns of family living. Besides that door, you enter others which may open to your livelihood, be it to a professional building, or local structures as one uses in a local business or a farmyard. Then there are doors to a church, temple or mosque for offering you the essential spiritual renewal spaces for soul and spirit. Whichever doors you enter, remember the words of Scripture: “Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person and she or he with me” (Rev. 3:20).
