Daily Meditation for November 16, 2021

Daily we are drawing nearer to THANKSGIVING DAY. So, ’tis the season to thank God for all our good gifts. Perhaps with a bit of reflection, we could easily name the abundance that surrounds us—the beauty and marvels of creation, the support and love we receive from family, friends, and our faithful pets. And when we hear/see the dire situations of refugees, migrants, people in war-torn countries, we can only be grateful for our comfortable living situation and realize how blessed we are to have a home, a bed to sleep in, and food on our table. We have so many things to be grateful for. BUT—what about the situations when we face bad health, bad news regarding family, friends, environmental tragedy, or world crisis? Can we be grateful for that? Yet, pondering it, we often find some good in the midst of the bad news. What would our life be like, if at the end of each day, we name 3 things we are grateful for? Happy days of giving thanks.
