Daily Meditation for March 24, 2021

“Oh, how I remember that day!” As we remember special birthday celebrations, weddings, birth of a child, graduations, anniversary parties, death of a loved one—all of these memories flood our mind with happy or painful thoughts. Remembering people and events brings to the present moment a past experience and produces a great source of life-giving energy. Loving and tender memories bring abundant new life. Sad and painful memories touch our hearts with gratitude for the people who supported us. Remembering and naming past experiences put us in touch with how those experiences have shaped and formed us. Today may be a good day to recall and cherish a significant event that had a great influence on you and made you the person you are today. ‘Tis a gift to remember and relive our past experiences.
