Daily Meditation for March 9, 2021

A word from past history has resurfaced: pandemic. If you like history, research what was going on during the pandemic of 1918. Modern medicine has progressed, and we need to follow the instructions of those in the field of medicine. However, it’s the same God today as the God of 1918. If you know someone who is suffering of the virus or who is a caregiver, a good old-fashioned handwritten newsy letter would be a welcome distraction to their day. Let us invoke God to be present to those who are suffering, to the caregivers and to those who are carrying on the work that needs to be done in their absence. Let us pray for those who feel the isolation that comes from not being able to socialize, not having encounters beyond their safe bubbles and those who are concerned about the well-being of their loved ones.
