Daily Meditation for February 12, 2021

Students in a communications class were assigned to write a reflection paper using a quote from some well-known author. Greg knew he was going to use one of Maya Angelou’s quotes. One immediately caught his eye as he skimmed the internet: “If you only have one smile in you, give it to the people you love.” His mind flashed back to the start of that day. Greg remembered growling at his younger brother for asking to borrow his sweater for the day. He hardly said anything to his parents, much less smile at them, even when his dad told him that he could use the car that night.  He had totally ignored his mom’s smile as she wished him well on his physics test. After some serious reflection, Greg ended his paper with: “Tomorrow will be a better day. Thanks Maya!”
