In Psalm 116:9, we pray, “I will walk in the presence of the Lord, in the land of the living.” Let’s spend a minute being grateful for the great gift of being able to walk. Many of us are able to proceed from place to place, putting one foot in front of the next, going where we want to go or where we need to be—always on our feet. Many people aren’t as fortunate as we are. Another great gift is to be mindful—that no matter where we walk, we walk in the presence of the Lord. God is all around us. God is within each person and situation we encounter. God is even in the challenges and difficulties in our path each day. So, today, let us praise God that we can walk in the presence of the Lord, in the land of the living today.
