Daily Meditation for October 26, 2020

October was the month of a “blue moon”… that is, we had a full moon, the harvest moon, very early in October and strangely, another full moon near the very end of the month. Twice, the bright light of a body reflected from outer space. Could that have brought with it some deep wisdom? Could that full light twice in a month bring us all to full realization, to unbounded charity,  and dedication to the welfare of all? For we are one family of sisters and brothers who share God’s creation with each other and all species of life. All enjoy the beauty on God’s magnificent earth. We live in precarious times when strange things are happening. It was Benjamin Franklin who warned us that “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.” Seeing clear night light twice in a month might bring profound wisdom that we are indeed responsible for each other and for our earth.
