Daily Meditation for October 15, 2020

June’s literary club opened their meetings sharing something good that happened recently. Catherine, a former teacher, shared how curious she was about a letter with a return address she didn’t recognize. As soon as she opened it, she recognized the name of a student she’d taught in a seventh grade class more than 50 years earlier. Carol, a former student shared how grateful she was for having Catherine as a teacher and how learning about God’s love that year helped her with her marriage of 51 years and raising four children. Coincidentally, Catherine had kept school photos and was thrilled to find Carol’s with the note on the back sharing what a pleasure it was to be in her class. She closed with: “I don’t think I will ever forget. I will pray for you in the years to come. God bless you, Carol.” Let’s all be a “Carol” in someone’s life today.
