Daily Meditation for September 11, 2020

On September 11, the day we refer to as 9/11, most of us can remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when we became aware of the terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and the plane crash in Pennsylvania. One person stood by and asked: “Where was God during this terrible tragedy?” Another person answered: “God was there at the scene of the tragedy, crying with the traumatized, helping the injured get medical aid, picking up broken bodies as desperate people jumped from the burning buildings; or supporting the grieving, and feeding the workers. God escorted hundreds of people into the Kingdom of God that day and welcomed them home with love, peace, and comfort. God was in many places that day because of all the people who ministered out of love for the good of another in need. That’s where God was.”
